Coaching update.

Hey, guys.  I haven’t posted anything about coaching since Black Friday.  I basically finished with my current students at that time & waited to see what would happen with poker.  Nothing has, obviously, but I went on vacation and am taking on students now that vaca’ is over.

Contact information…  Contacting me via email (knoxitall@gmail.com) is the best way.  Twitter (@KnoxItAll) is also excellent.  Make sure, when you message me, that you include your Skype name, CardRunners name, what kind of package you’re interested in, and any pertinent background information.

Background/Credentials…  I started playing HU NLH cash games exclusively around May of 2009.  Although I’d played & beat other forms of poker prior, this is when I really started to smash.  There’s no coincidence that getting coaching from Cyrus “cpar1” Partow, now one of my closest friends, was directly aligned with this success.  I started at HU 50NLH back then.  As of November of 2010, I was just beginning to play some $400 but also still sit $200 and $100.  Lastly, I have a very strong group of friends, also HU specialists, with whom I’m discussing poker with on a daily basis.

Games/Stakes…  I will coach any stakes up to HU $100NLH.

Coaching media/Location…  We’ll be using Skype and TeamViewer; both are free.  Also, I recommend all my students download Camtasia for recording their own sessions.  (There’s a free trial that doesn’t require a credit card number.)  We will be doing live sweats, but recorded sessions will allow us to pause and discuss certain situations more thoroughly, which is definitely recommended.  Although I do live in the Las Vegas area and get some requests for live face-to-face coaching, this something I don’t do.

Results…  The below links were mostly small stakes; these shots were taken when I was just getting my feet wet at $200 and $400.  Unfortunately, after Black Friday, I bought a new computer and just recently downloaded Hold’em Manager, so more recent shots hadn’t been taken from this time through Black Friday.  When I hit my first post-Black Friday 100k hands, I’ll update everything again & just always keep it fresh.  Here’s the damage for those 100k hands, which is just slightly over 2 months of poker.  (The reason you see only 92,891 out of the 100k is because I was busy running hot at HU PLO for a bit over 7k hands.  I wanted to post those too, but it was only my ego and false perception of crushing it at the time.  Thank you, lovely positive variance…ha ha.)

Pricing/Payment method…  I’ve chosen to leave my coaching pricing similar to what it was prior to Black Friday.  My poker hourly was significantly higher at that point, but I simply hadn’t updated it for coaching.  I have slightly dropped it, though, simply because the market semi-dictates it.  I charge $60/hour.  Discounts for 5-hour and 10-hour blocks, that are purchased upfront, are available.  Currently, I am only accepting payments via PayPal.  It’s incredibly simple & allows you to even use a credit card if you so choose.  There is a fee that I incur for using PayPal, which I pass over to my students.  It’s only 5%, though.

Miscellaneous…  If you guys have any additional questions, please ask.  Also, feel free to check out my official CardRunners coaching profile here. All the information there, however, isn’t as up-to-date as it is here…at least not at the time I posted this blog.  (jeff218 will be making those updates soon, though.)

Cheers, guys.
